CQ JOURNAL: FINAL REFLECTION ASSIGNMENT INSTRUCTIONS
OVERVIEW
Throughout the course, you will submit 4 journal entries which will guide you to reflect on your
cultural intelligence (CQ) scores, set measurable goals and action steps for improving your CQ,
and participate in activities and experiences which will help to practice effective intercultural
communication. With CQ, there is always more to learn and room to grow, and this course is an
opportunity to practice exercising each of the CQ capabilities. You can use your journal entries
to track your progress through the journey of this course, but hopefully you will feel inspired to
continue to develop your CQ beyond this course.
INSTRUCTIONS
Your journal entry should meet the following requirements.
 Length: 400-800 words
 Your journal entry should be written in paragraph form with proper grammar and
spelling. Thoughts should be well-organized and cohesive.
 Your journal entry should be submitted on the template provided.
In your final CQ journal entry, you will reflect on your CQ journey throughout the course.
Answer the following questions in your CQ journal.
 Did you meet the goals or accomplish the action steps you set in the CQ Journal: CQ
Assessment Reflection Assignment?
 How has your understanding of Cultural Intelligence and the realities of interacting
across cultures changed during this course?
 Discuss the ways you will seek to increase your CQ as you continue on beyond this
course.
 What is the most significant thing you have learned about intercultural communication
and engagement?
 How can you apply what you have learned about CQ to our global purpose of engaging
the nations with the gospel?

PART 2

In the assigned Learn materials for this Module: Week, you were educated on many facets of international engagement. For this Discussion, you will research an international group, NGO, or other similarly situated group and explain how this group is helping to engage an international audience. If this is an area of interest or passion for you that must also be noted. DISCUSSION ASSIGNMENT INSTRUCTIONS
You will complete 4 Discussions in this course. You will post one thread of at least 250 words
by 11:59 p.m. (ET) on Thursday of the assigned Module: Week. You must then post at least 1
reply of at least 150 words by 11:59 p.m. (ET) on Monday of the assigned Module: Week. For
Module 8: Week 8, you must submit your replies by 11:59 p.m. (ET) on Friday. For each
thread, you must support your assertions with at least 1 scholarly citation in APA format. Any
sources cited must have been published within the last five years. Acceptable sources include the
textbook, online articles for the week, the Bible, and any other pertinent source to the assignment
topic.
